Organized by the Macao Art Museum and the PDG Arte Communications of Venice as a Collateral Event of the 59th Venice Biennale, the “Allegory of Dreams” exhibition by ‘Yiima’ Art Group is open to the public until 20 October 2022.
Curated by the international curator João Miguel Barros, the exhibition showcases works by ‘YiiMa’, an art group formed in Macao by Ung Vai Meng and Chan Hin Io, in line with ‘The Milk of Dreams’ – the title and theme of the 59th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia.
The exhibition is divided into four sections, namely “Dreamers’ Boat“, “Dream Symbols“, “Dream Space” and “Iao Hon Dynasty“. By featuring recordings of the two artists’ live performance, the event aims to present visitors with Macao’s unique cultural environment full of memories and history, offering them an opportunity to experience its dreamlike yet allegorical scenes of daily life.
