Tomorrow’s Jazz Night 2024

Santimone Trio and Treetops
at La Fenice Opera House
Tomorrow's Jazz Night

As part of the “Venezia Jazz Festival Fall Edition”, the “Tomorrow’s Jazz Night” will feature a double concert with the Guglielmo Santimone Trio and Treetops on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the Sale Apollinee of La Fenice Opera House.

The Guglielmo Santimone Trio—composed of Guglielmo Santimone (piano), Francesco Bordignon (double bass), and Edoardo Battaglia (drums)—brings together three Siena Jazz-trained musicians of the latest generation. Their contemporary jazz style, rooted in post-bop influences, shines through in their performances, featuring both original compositions and modern interpretations of jazz standards. The trio’s sound is enriched by subtle nods to Brazilian music, allowing them to explore a vibrant and dynamic take on the classic piano trio format.

Treetops, a septet from Rome, consists of Marco Bedini (soprano sax), Andrea Cardone (tenor sax), Anna Bielli (guitar), Andrea Spiridigliozzi (guitar), Marcello Tirelli (keyboards), Simone Ndiaye (bass), and Luca Libonati (drums). This group blends their deep respect for jazz tradition with an exploratory approach to contemporary music. Fusing funk, jazz, rock, and improvisation, Treetops delivers energetic grooves, intricate technique, and exciting improvisational passages. Their music, filled with creativity and fun, will invite listeners to lose themselves in the fresh, original trajectories crafted by these promising young musicians.

Don’t miss this exciting double concert, a night that will showcase the next generation of jazz talent, offering a dynamic and unforgettable musical experience!
