This design is created with hundreds or thousands of artistic colored glasses, which are rigorously hand cut and arranged together in order to achieve a piece that makes a simple wall shiny and fascinating. It was created using the mosaic technique: first the small pieces of glass are cut, then they were assembled until they form a view of the Venice lagoon made of bright colored glass. The combination of the etching and mosaic techniques makes the creation of this complex painting of San Giorgio possible.
