“Pas de Deux Conference” is a video projection with Franco Bolletta, artistic director and organizer of the dance activities of the Teatro La Fenice Foundation.
In ballet, the expression “pas de deux” refers to the number of dancers, male or female, who perform a sequence of a ballet or choreography together. The “pas de deux” is transformed, though more rarely, into pas de trois and pas de quatre. The denomination pas de deux derives from the French language and means step of two or step two.
The pas de deux is characteristic of classical ballet and can be found in many well-known ballets, including Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Romeo and Juliet, Le Diable amoureux and Giselle.
