Step into the enchanting world of “Ospite a Palazzo” (guest at palace) as the Palazzo Cini Gallery in San Vio unveils its new edition, showcasing a captivating series of masterpieces on loan from prestigious Italian and international collections and museums.
Until July 16, 2023, the spotlight is on Artemisia Gentileschi‘s remarkable painting of Cleopatra from the Cavallini Sgarbi Collection. The renowned artist’s work, which documented her activity in Venice from 1626 to 1630, graces the rooms of the Gallery as a special loan during the exhibition “Ercole de’ Roberti and Lorenzo Costa“, where a selection of Ferrara paintings from the Palazzo Cini collection are showcased.
Following this captivating display, the exhibition welcomes another illustrious “guest” at the end of July. Through an exchange with the Royal Castle Museum in Warsaw, the Palazzo Cini Gallery will feature the painting “View of Warsaw with the Church of the Holy Cross” by the renowned Venetian Vedutist Bernardo Bellotto. This initiative is made possible through the collaboration of Assicurazioni Generali, and it coincides with the Royal Castle Museum’s exhibition titled “Memory of Antiquity and the Early Renaissance“, where Sandro Botticelli‘s “Judgement of Paris” from the Cini collections will be on display.
“Ospite a Palazzo” offers a unique opportunity to appreciate these extraordinary works of art as they grace the gallery’s rooms, providing a rich and diverse cultural experience. Immerse yourself in the beauty and history of these masterpieces, and witness the fascinating dialogue between different artistic styles and periods. Don’t miss the chance to be a guest in this extraordinary exhibition, where art transcends boundaries and creates connections across time and space.
