In collaboration with “Venice Jazz Festival – Fall Edition 2022“, a concert by Nduduzo Makhathini will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, in the Sale Apollinee of La Fenice Theater.
The visionary South African pianist, composer and improviser Nduduzo Makhathini presents “In the Spirit of Ntu” (Blue Note Records), his 10th studio album, original music in its arcane beauty that sums up the tenets of a poetics that is both contemporary mysticism and religious ancestral traditions. A central figure in the country’s vibrant jazz scene, Makhathini has assembled a band composed of some of South Africa’s most exciting young musicians.
