Renowned conductor Myung-Whun Chung graces the stages of Venice’s grand theaters with captivating performances from March 22 to 29, 2024, showcasing an exceptional lineup of musical brilliance and emotive resonance.
At the Malibran Theater on March 22 and 23, Chung leads the La Fenice Theater Orchestra in a captivating program. The highlight features Ludwig van Beethoven’s magnificent Concerto for piano, violin, cello, and orchestra in C major, op. 56. In this opus, the orchestra accompanies the virtuoso talents of violinist Roberto Baraldi and cellist Emanuele Silvestri in a harmonious interplay of strings and piano led by Chung himself. The evening culminates with Johannes Brahms’ profound Symphony No. 4 in E minor op. 98, a pinnacle of Romanticism, exploring poignant depths and symphonic mastery.
Returning to La Fenice Opera House on March 28 and 29, Chung directs the Orchestra and Choir of Teatro La Fenice in a transcendent performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem Mass.
