With the generous support of Palazzo Garzoni, the La Fenice Theatre will host the exclusive Italian premiere of “Marie Antoinette” from January 26 to 30. The French company Malandain Ballet Biarritz proposes the ballet with a choreography by Thierry Malandain on music by Franz Joseph Haydn and Christoph Willibald Gluck.
The creation is a danced portrait of the controversial figure of the Queen of France, and in particular of her life at Versailles, between frivolities, court intrigues and power games. The show features sets and costumes by Jorge Gallardo, with lighting by François Menou.
The cast includes: Claire Lonchampt (Marie-Antoinette), Mickaël Conte (Louis XVI), Irma Hoffren (Impératrice Marie-Thérèse), Frederik Deberdt (Louis XV), Patricia Velazquez (Comtesse du Barry), Guillaume Lillo (Comte de Mercy-Argenteau), Raphael Canet (Axel von Fersen), Jeshua Costa (Joseph II).
