On the occasion of the 59th Venice Biennale, Flash Art with Dune present “Could you bare your torso?“, the solo exhibition by Kayode Ojo at the spaces Magazzino 6 and Magazzino 7 (Magazzini Ligabue, a University of Venice facility used by the Department of Project Cultures in the faculty of art and design) until July 10, 2022. Curated by Gea Politi and Cristiano Seganfreddo, the exhibition is produced by Flash Art Studios and is promoted by FLAIR (Fashion Lab Archive Industry Research) of the IUAV University of Venice, in collaboration with Sweetwater Gallery in Berlin and with the support of Aspesi.

Could you bare your torso?” presents one of the most interesting contemporary American artists with a large-scale installation suspended between Magazzini Ligabue, two buildings that are places of study and work for the IUAV community. Ojo’s metal chains transform the sky space into a sort of off-scale bustier connecting the two large concrete and red brick elements. The interior spaces of the University also come alive with a series of sculptures scattered throughout the various rooms, occupying the floors and classrooms.
