After touring the world with the great names of song and classical music, Jean Louis Matinier and Kevin Seddiki have joined forces to create vibrant music, a combination of their different sensibilities.

Today one of the most internationally renowned accordionists, Jean Louis Matinier was for many years Juliette Gréco’s accompanist. He then worked in the world and jazz fields, collaborating with Renaud Garcia-Fons, Anouar Brahem, François Couturier (Tarkovski Quartet), Louis Sclavis, Gianluigi Trovesi.

After having been a pupil of Pablo Marquez and having distinguished himself next to Dino Saluzzi, Al di Meola and Michel Legrand, the guitarist Kevin Seddiki began a solo career and collaborated, among others, with Lucilla Galeazzi, the Voce Quartet, the Greek singer Maria Simoglou and, fascinated by Persian music, with Bijan Chemirani.

Together they have undertaken an original journey, full of contrasts and refinements. Their recording project for ECM proposed on stages all over the world is “Rivages“. The music ranges from the traditional “Greensleeves” (English folk song) to “Les Berceaux” (work of the French composer Gabriel Fauré) to compositions and improvisations of both protagonists.
