Maestro Ivor Bolton, a luminary in baroque and classical repertoires, brings his multifaceted brilliance to the esteemed stage of La Fenice Opera House on March 1 and 3, 2024. Notably, he helmed the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg for 12 years, earning acclaim for their critically praised recordings of Bruckner Symphonies. His directorial prowess extends beyond the symphonic domain; his production of Benjamin Britten’s Billy Budd, showcased at the Teatro Real and Royal Opera House Covent Garden, earned the esteemed “best production” recognition from Opernwelt.
Presently serving as chief conductor of the Sinfonieorchester Basel since 2016, Bolton led the ensemble in a celebrated series dedicated to the works of Gabriel Fauré. Additionally, as the Musical Director in Madrid since 2015, he’s established a prominent musical legacy in the city.
