The inaugural concert of the “Galuppi Festival” will be held on Saturday, September 17 in the Chapter House of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco. Performing at the concert will be the group “L’appassionata”, flutist Tommaso Benciolini and harpist Antonella De Franco.
Formed in 2019 around the activities of the Gaspari Foundation, “L’appassionata” is a group of young excellencies dedicated to the deepening of the chamber orchestra repertoire. Its members include some of the best young music professionals in Italy, who have perfected their skills in the most important musical institutions throughout Europe and have already gained concert experience in the most important orchestras.
The program conducted by maestro Lorenzo Gugole includes:
- Baldassare Galuppi, Symphony opera “La partenza e il ritorno de’ marinari”
- Franz Joseph Haydn, Symphony No. 44 in E minor “Trauer-Symphonie”
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Concerto for Flute and Harp in C major KV 299
