The Galuppi Festival took place for the first time in 1980 in Venice, but it was only in 1997, coinciding with the birth of the Galuppi Festival Association, that the rediscovery and systematic re-proposal of this author’s compositional work began with an event entitled “I Luoghi di Baldassare”, Festival Galuppi e della Musica, held annually in September and October in Venice and the islands of the lagoon.
The organizers: “Regrets to announce that unfortunately, despite having tried in every way to save the 2020 programming of “I Luoghi di Baldassare”, the XXVII edition of the Galuppi Festival will not take place. The hope is to have only postponed and not cancelled the concerts of 2020 to 2021 and we are sorry for all those who were involved in the project in various ways”.
The only concert that will be presented on behalf of the Galuppi Festival will be on Saturday 26th September at 8.00 p.m. at the Sale Apollinee of the Teatro La Fenice with the Orchestra L’Appassionata di Verona – Conductor Lorenzo Gugole.
From 15 September, every Tuesday and Thursday there is the possibility, especially for those who were not present at the last 2019 edition of the Festival, to listen and review the evenings that animated the event.
