Enrico Morello

In collaboration with “VenetoJazzEnrico Morello, one of the most creative drummers on the Italian jazz scene, will be staged on March 16, 2023, at T Fondaco dei Tedeschi with his debut album.

Morello comes to the album “Cyclic Signs” having matured the need to synthesize the different experiences and stimuli accumulated in recent years with the numerous and prestigious collaborations as a sideman. Thanks to these collaborations, the Roman drummer was able to get in touch and play with the musicians he selected to form the quartet that recorded Cyclic Signs: Francesco Lento on trumpet, Daniele Tittarelli on alto sax and Matteo Bortone on double bass. The quartet thus immediately proved to be a compact and tight-knit nucleus, and the contribution of the musicians was surprising, managing not only to assimilate Morello’s complex original compositions perfectly, but enriching them with their own personal vision.

The driving force behind Cyclic Signs springs from a fascination with the rhythms of existence and the many faces of their mutations. But the album also wants to be gesture, body in motion, kinetic force. In other words: dance.
