On Saturday, December 18 at 5:30 pm, the Hotel Carlton On The Grand Canal, in front of the train station in Venice, will host the presentation of Chiara Padovan‘s book “Caccia al Ladro a Venezia” (Thief Hunt in Venice).
Set in Venice, this is a romantic and funny comedy, perfect for the plot of a film, which sees two lovers struggling with a phantom jewel thief. After “Primo bacio a Venezia” (First Kiss in Venice), writer Chiara Padovan returns to make female audiences in particular dream with her new book. Another intriguing episode of the love story between Sissi and Sergej, published by Libromania (a DeA Planeta Libri brand).
The protagonist of Chiara’s novels is Silvia De Santis, known as Sissi, a forty-year-old Venetian from Cannaregio, an aspiring writer and a terrible cook, who works in an important communication agency. By chance (or maybe not) she weaves a love story with a mysterious young Russian billionaire with whom, in the second novel, she will share an adventure on the trail of a jewel thief. But Venice, with its palaces and artistic foundations, is also a co-protagonist. The genre from which the author draws inspiration is “Bridget Jones” or “I Love Shopping“: a light, loose writing, full of that irony that reflects Chiara’s character, but which, at the same time, contains reflections, such as the importance of friendships, of supporting new talents, of recovering things that are being lost, for example handwriting.
The event is by reservation only, by writing to ufficiostampa@extralabcomunicazione.it, while places last (green pass and protective mask required). An aperitif by Poli Distillerie will follow.
