In collaboration with Archivio Bice Lazzari and with the support of Azimut, the Galleria Internazionale d’Arte Moderna Ca’ Pesaro presents the exhibition “Bice Lazzari. Fra spazio e misura” curated by Paola Ugolini.
The focus of the exhibition is a small but valuable survey of the painting of Bice Lazzari, in the period of transition from informal to abstract minimalism between the mid-sixties and late seventies, which consists of ten canvases and about thirty drawings, from the Lazzari Archive in Rome, from private collections and from the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice.
They are the works of the maturity of the painter born in Venice and artistically grown up in Rome, in which the sign rhythmically marks the field of the canvas imprisoning the viewer’s eye in the relationship between space, time and measure.
