With the collaboration of the cultural association “Musikàmera“, the Sale Apollinee of Teatro La Fenice will feature Albion Quartet in concert with works by Mozart, Schubert and Bartók on March 5 and 6, 2023.
Formed in 2016, the Albion Quartet brings together four extraordinary young British soloists and chamber musicians of established international reputation. In the span of just three years, the four artists are already establishing themselves as one of the best string quartets of the moment. Tamsin Waley-Colin, first violinist, ECHO Rising Stars, an award-winning artist and guest of the best orchestras, was a student of Ruggero Ricci, who considered her the most gifted of the violinists he met in his professional life.
Members of the quartet are: Tamsin Waley-Cohen (violin), Emma Parker (violin), Ann Beilby (viola) and Nathaniel Boyd (cello). The quartet’s program includes:
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Quartet K465 “Dissonance”
- Béla Bartók, Quartet No. 3
- Franz Schubert, Quartet “Death and the Maiden”
