Paper Design at Ca Pesaro

In collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice, the fourth edition of the renowned Paper Design exhibition—formerly Un mese di carta—returns to Ca’ Pesaro, showcasing the best paper design creations from students of the Paper Technology course led by Prof. Dario Cestaro.

Paper as an Artistic Medium

Paper design is a growing artistic field, spanning across publishing, packaging, furniture, illustration, scenography, and video animation. This exhibition highlights its infinite creative possibilities, from intricate three-dimensional constructions to the fascinating world of pop-up books—a tradition dating back to 1306 with the Chronica Majora by Matthew Paris.

Sustainability & Tactile Beauty

Paper’s organic texture, light absorption, and vibrant colors make it a timeless material, offering a sensory experience that is increasingly valued in today’s digital world. As eco-friendly innovation gains momentum, paper has evolved from a simple everyday material into a symbol of sustainability and craftsmanship.

An exhibition that celebrates creativity, innovation, and the enduring charm of paper in a rapidly changing world.
