From February 20 to March 4, 2025, the magnificent La Fenice Opera House will present Gioacchino Rossini’s timeless comic opera, “The Barber of Seville”. This beloved masterpiece, first performed in 1816 at the Teatro Argentina in Rome, continues to captivate audiences with its wit, charm, and unforgettable melodies.
Described by Giuseppe Verdi as “the most beautiful comic opera that exists”, The Barber of Seville has been a source of joy for generations. Featuring an abundance of musical brilliance and comic energy, its iconic arias and ensembles—such as “Largo al factotum”, “Una voce poco fa”, and “La calunnia”—remain some of the most celebrated in operatic history.
