From April 11 to 13, 2025, the Goldoni Theater presents Quel che provo dir non so (What I try to say I do not know), an engaging and thought-provoking show written by Matteo Monforte and Pierpaolo Spollon. Directed by Mauro Lamanna and starring the talented Pierpaolo Spollon, this performance explores the intricate and often puzzling world of emotions.
As an actor, Pierpaolo Spollon works daily with emotions—his own and those of the characters he portrays. But what are emotions, really? How do they arise, and how do they shape us? Through a humorous and self-deprecating monologue, Spollon takes audiences on a personal journey, reflecting on his own turbulent relationship with feelings.
Born to a Police Commissioner father and a mother working in the Italian Army, Spollon weaves together anecdotes from his childhood and adult life, offering insight into the challenges and triumphs of understanding and naming our emotions. Are we always able to recognize what we feel? And how does the ability to articulate emotions affect our relationships and sense of self?
Blending comedy, vulnerability, and introspection, Quel che provo dir non so is both entertaining and deeply relatable. It invites audiences to laugh, reflect, and perhaps even discover something new about their own emotional landscapes.
Don’t miss this unique and heartfelt performance at the Goldoni Theater. Quel che provo dir non so is a celebration of humanity and the beautifully complex world of feelings.
