The Romantic season continues with an extraordinary evening of music at the Palazzetto Bru Zane. On March 8, 2025 at 7:30 pm, the acclaimed Trio Sōra—featuring Fanny Fheodoroff (violin), Angèle Legasa (cello), and Pauline Chenais (piano)—will present Dal tramonto all’alba (From Dusk Till Dawn), a program showcasing the evocative power of the piano trio through the works of three remarkable female composers.
Spanning nearly 50 years, the pieces by Cécile Chaminade, Mel Bonis, and Charlotte Sohy illustrate the evolution of the piano trio at the turn of the 20th century. Chaminade’s Trio n°2 (1887) gazes toward the future, exploring contrasts and dynamic atmospheres, while Sohy’s Trio avec piano (1931) honors tradition with a luminous classical structure. Mel Bonis bridges the gap in her 1907 diptych Soir and Matin, painting an exquisite journey from dusk to dawn that blends salon charm with profound artistry.
