On Saturday, December 7, 2024, the beloved musical group Suono Popolare will bring their vibrant sound to Teatro Malibran with a charity concert titled “El Condor Pasa.” The performance promises a soulful journey through Andean, popular, and original music, filled with rhythms and melodies that reflect the rich musical heritage of Latin America.
Suono Popolare was founded in 1975 by a group of passionate high school students inspired by the music of iconic Chilean bands such as Inti Illimani and Quilapayun. United by their love for Latin American music, the students formed the band to perform and share the unique sounds of the Andes. After disbanding in 1980 due to career and study commitments, the group reunited in 2017 and has since been actively performing. The current lineup includes Marco Fasan, Michele Lotter, Claudio Milani, Roberta Minetto, Marco Tonegato, Pietro Tonegato, and Daniele Volpe.
Dedicated to using their music for good, Suono Popolare has always aligned its performances with charitable causes, playing in schools, community centers, and various local theaters. For this special concert, all proceeds will support AVAPO (Association of Volunteers for the Assistance of Cancer Patients) Venice and LILT (Italian League for the Fight against Cancer) Venice section, organizations that provide invaluable support to cancer patients and their families.
Join Suono Popolare at Teatro Malibran for an unforgettable evening of music and compassion. Not only will you enjoy a mesmerizing concert, but you’ll also contribute to a meaningful cause.
