Concert in support of AIL at La Fenice Opera House

On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the renowned pianist Letizia Michielon will perform a special concert in the Sale Apollinee of La Fenice Opera House. This concert is dedicated to the memory of Venetian Maestro Eugenio Bagnoli (1920-2009) and is in support of AIL Venezia—the Italian Association against Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma. Founded in 1969, AIL is a non-profit organization that actively supports scientific research and patient care for those affected by blood cancers. AIL organizes local events and initiatives, like this concert, to raise funds for its critical mission.

Letizia Michielon’s performance will feature a thoughtfully curated program that includes some of the most beloved works in classical piano literature. The evening will open with Frédéric Chopin’s Deux Nocturnes op. 32, Four Mazurkas op. 24, and Three Waltzes op. 64, bringing to life the romantic beauty and technical elegance of Chopin’s compositions. Following this, Michielon will perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sechs Bagatellen op. 126, a set of six short, expressive pieces that showcase Beethoven’s depth and brilliance.

This concert is organized in collaboration with Fondazione Archivio Giorgio Cini, AIL Venezia, A.Gi.Mus. (Associazione Giovanile Musicale), and the Rotary Club Venezia, with the patronage of MiC (the Italian Ministry of Culture). Join an evening of excellent music that not only celebrates the legacy of Maestro Bagnoli but also supports a vital cause in the fight against blood cancers.
