The Venezia Jazz Festival Fall Edition brings an exciting lineup of concerts to various venues and theaters across Venice, offering a rich mix of jazz, world music, and unique artistic collaborations from October to November 2024.
October 4 – Laguna Libre
The festival kicks off with the Squelini Trio feat. David Boato, a dynamic group that blends world music with jazz elements. Expect intriguing sounds from Szabolcs Szőke (gadulka, sarangi), Péter Szalai (tabla, cajon), Dániel Váczi (sax), and David Boato (trumpet, flugelhorn).
October 12 – Laguna Libre
The Vincent Herring 4tet feat. Erena Terakubo promises an energetic performance, led by saxophonists Vincent Herring and Erena Terakubo, accompanied by Urs Hager (piano), Ignasi Gonzalez (double bass), and Joris Dudli (drums).
October 12 – Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi
Don’t miss Interiors | Planet Ocean, a captivating audiovisual experience where Erica Scherl and Valerio Corzani create a live soundtrack for the film “Planet Ocean.”
October 16 – Fondaco dei Tedeschi
Enjoy the sounds of Tragos de Tango, featuring Daniele Vianello (double bass), Walter Lucherini (bandoneon), and Lino Brotto (classical guitar).
October 17 – Hotel Splendid Venice
Jazz lovers will not want to miss Ty Le Blanc (vocals), Ivan Zuccarato (piano) and TBA (drums).
October 18 & 19 – Teatro Goldoni
A highlight includes Giovanni Allevi’s long-awaited return to the stage, followed by the Ensemble Symphony Orchestra’s tribute to Ennio Morricone.
November 8 – Laguna Libre
The night features the Michael Rosen 4et, featuring saxophonist Michael Rosen and a stellar band.
November 28 – Fondaco dei Tedeschi
Finally, the festival closes with composer and artist Francesca Guccione who presents “Euphonia”, on cello e Moog.
