From October 21 to October 27, 2024, “Venice Fashion Week” returns, bringing with it a vibrant series of events focused on tailoring presentations, workshops, designer meetings, and conferences on ethical and sustainable fashion. Conceived and curated by VeneziadaVivere in partnership with the Municipality of Venice, this year’s edition is grounded in the themes of craftsmanship, sustainability, and inclusion, inviting participants to explore innovative projects and sustainable practices that contribute to Venice’s transition into a sustainable destination.
“Venice Fashion Week” continues the dialogue on craftsmanship as a key value for the planet’s future, a conversation that began with the 2018 “Make it last” conference, which presented Venice as a laboratory for sustainable lifestyle design. This commitment was further strengthened in 2019 with the “Sustainable Fashion Day,” organized in collaboration with the British Consulate and featuring key figures like Marina Spadafora of Fashion Revolution Italia and stylists Patrick McDowell and Tiziano Guardini.
Set against the backdrop of Venice’s historic palaces, homes, and public spaces, the event engages digital communicators and local creatives in imagining the future of fashion. It also contributes to the global conversation on sustainable fashion, supports emerging creative talents, and promotes national and international designers.
