In collaboration with the cultural association Musikàmera, the Hesperos Trio will perform an enchanting concert at the Sale Apollinee of Teatro La Fenice on Sunday, 22 September 2024. This highly anticipated event promises an evening of exceptional classical music, featuring the works of two renowned composers: Franz Schubert and Dmitri Shostakovich.
The Hesperos Trio, comprising Filippo Lama on violin, Stefano Guarino on cello, and Riccardo Zadra on piano, will open the evening with Franz Schubert’s magnificent Trio in E flat major, op. 100 D929 (1827). This piece is celebrated for its lyrical beauty and profound emotional depth, capturing the essence of Schubert’s late compositional style.
Following Schubert’s masterpiece, the trio will perform Dmitri Shostakovich’s Trio No. 1 in C minor, op. 8 (1923). This early work by Shostakovich, composed when he was just 17, showcases the budding genius of a composer who would later become one of the most significant musical figures of the 20th century. The piece, which won the Musikàmera 2023 competition, is a compelling exploration of youthful vigor intertwined with the depth of expression that characterizes Shostakovich’s oeuvre.
The Hesperos Trio is known for its exceptional interpretative skills and synergy on stage. With each member bringing a wealth of experience and artistry, the trio has garnered acclaim for its performances in prestigious venues across Europe.
