“The Venice Glass Week” is the international festival founded in 2017 to celebrate, support and promote the art of glassmaking: the artistic and economic activity for which the Lagoon City of Venice has been renowned around the world for over 1,000 years.
2022 is officially the year designated by the United Nations as the International Year of Glass. Together with Vision Milan Glass Week, “The Venice Glass Week” presents a new major event: The Italian Glass Weeks. The two-week festival will have two focuses: from 10 to 18 September in Milan with a program dedicated mainly to industrial glass, and from 17 to 25 September in Venice with artistic glass as the protagonist.
Collectively, The Italian Glass Weeks will offer a unique opportunity for audiences including consumers, collectors, buyers and businesses to encounter, explore and appreciate the best of glass in Italy. The initiative aims to celebrate and promote the excellence of the Italian glass industry, whilst also showcasing the highest quality glass from elsewhere in the world.
